Don't get me wrong I like the show and watch it whenever I get the chance,but how fake does it come across as?as if nowadays you wouldn't have Skype or a few hundred dollars to go and meet the love of your life,I like the show for entertainment purposes,but do you guys agree?

Well -this is show based from an Australian show from around 2000 where this stuff was way more common (as the internet was less sophisticated)

even so -the show is all a simulation based on real stories submitted, researched, or fabricated.-just like Amish Mafia, the Moonshiner one etc etc

I have no exact info on Catfish except that I have worked on reality shows and know how they work. Very little is "real" ever. -and also know that extraordinary legal liability force shows like this to be simulations after legal paperwork is in place by all parties -like Amish Mafia (which is entirely bullshit and simulated), Moonshiners (which is entirely a simulation), Jerry Springer (which is about 75% setup)etc etc

Seriously dude, the first I ever saw operation repo was the one were they were trying to repo a handicap fan from a dude in a wheel chair, when the altercation starts with his brother the dude jumped out of his wheel chair and starts throwing spin kicks and shit, that show was so obviously fake I find it hard to believe you thought it was real, it's funny though, much like Amish Mafia is the best unintentional comedy on T.V.

I think catfish is also fake as are most "reality" shows but it's still pretty funny although Tall Hot Blonde was a much better movie.

Catfish is deff set up a bit. I mean how can they have another season after this one? Who is dumb enough to NOT skype or do a little Google research on a person?

It's deff less scripted than Operation Repo or that stupid moonshine show.
