You can't throw ebows or shoulders to strike but you can use both to defend. So technically you could use your knees to block right? Say you are covering up and a jab to the body is coming, you might lift your knee to block that from landing. Don't they do this in muy Thai and kickboxing?

I'm convinced this is 100% legal

Punches to parts of the body below the belt line are not allowed in boxing. In mauy thai your allowed to literally trip and toss the other guys like a no-gi judo.

would be funny if somebody feinted kicks in boxing lol.

However, i’ll be realistic which barely anybody does in boxing, you could probably do it once or twice and not lose a point. People get away with rabbit punches, headbutts? low blows, elbows, forearms, grabbing the back, hell compbell mr high and mighty taller golden olympian shot for a perfecrly executed double leg take down on lomachenko and nothing happened.

Good thing nobody's talking about shots below the belt so can we get back on topic please?

It's really not a good thing when the complete post together rationalizes an an answer for the topic at hand and you pick random two words in it taking it out of context and pretend you understood.

I'm not repeating anything, since it's written in text above.
Reread it, and ask me what didn't you understand.

Since you obviously didn't understand the post, I'll randomly guess what's wrong with you and elaborate.
Striking the thigh/leg/foot/butt in boxing is absolutely illegal. thus putting these body parts in the way of the punch is illegal. duh.
However in kickboxing it is absolutely legal, and in MMA you have even more range such as foot stomps, for example yoel romero and benson henderson have utilized punches to the thigh very effectively in fights.
But again, I'm being realistic and saying most boxing matches, especially on the highest level rules are usually broken all the time, many times in the same round too in certain situations. I mean unless you're blind or very stupid or never really watched boxing.

But is it a punch to the knee if the target wasn't the knee?

you can use knees to block mid roundhouse kicks in kick boxing/MT. It’s not gonna work for a jab to the body. You don’t want to lift your legs up in boxing because you’ll be off balance and get knocked over

Yes, same in bjj, a “reap” is an illegal position where if ur on bottom and you have ur leg a certain way it can injure both of you, and if u do it u r automatically DQ’d if u last 3 seconds in that position. If the ref sees that ur opponent intentionally put ur leg there and keeps it there then that guy is doing it is DQ’d.

thus the man lifting his foot to cause the punch to land on his leg is the one performing the illegal act. The guy throwing the punch is innocent, obviously.

Hip tosses in Muay Thai are illegal it's nothing like no gi judo
Judo is not only hip tosses... i never said hip tosses.. i said trips, u know, “muay thai sweeps” a basic move in mauy thai with many variations taught.

Besides, i’ve seen alot more illgal stuff being performed with no penalty in mauy thai than in boxing fyi. Which includes “more than a sweeps” the ref didnt flinch about

We hear what we wanna hear.

Is it a low blow if you're aiming for the torso and whack the dudes nuts?

Course it is.

But if you throw to the face and they duck and you land to the back of the head it's not a rabbit punch.

Guy guys, we are not arguing semantics here, the lexicongiraffe forum is over there, this is sherdog.

Sure any shot in the back of the head is a rabbit punch by definition and every lowblow is a nutshot by defintion. But we are arguing here about what deserves to be penalized according to the judgement of a good ref. The main and most important thing in sports penalty is who caused the illegal move or position, who made the rules get broken. We have seen many illegal moves go unforgiven because the referee's judgment having a close view in the ring to know if it was intentional or not. That's what they take into account when they sit down and adjust or add rules(or at least they are supposed to)

Although if you ask me personally, and this is just my opinion talking now, the severity of the unintentional move or if it is repeated the guilty should be penalized regardless of intention. 2 eye pokes in the same round for example.. i dont give a fuck if he slipped into it or whatever, cause if the athletes wish to continue it(and obviously they do it's they're career) a point should be taken away cause the outcome of the match has already been affected a little, and if indeed it wasn't intentional it'll teach him not to be a cluts.

Watch Palhares vs Shields, my dream mma fight ruined cause of 15 minutes of eye gauging with a ref dumber than a box of dumb and dumber dvds.

How come 90% of this thread is about discussing muay thai, judo, BJJ and MMA? It's very confusing.

This reminds me of the “why doesn’t anyone win by tickling” or “pressure points will dominate mma” threads.
