Can someone be good enough to explain the "an sald" and broccoli thing?

Somewhere I missed how this whole thing started, and I've tried searching to see where the "an sald" thing came from, but no luck.

Someone wanted a shoop of some shitty ass Machida picture that wasn't shoop thread worthy. Someone took a square picture of broccoli from the internet and stuck it on the machida photo and said " eateng an sald" or something like that. The photo appeared in every shoop thread from then on and an sald became a dank maymay

it started out in a "shoop that machida" thread many years ago. the original photo was of a bemused machida and the question, if i remember correctly, was "why is he smiling".

one poster made this totally unprofessional shoop, like most epic shoops usually are, with the caption "he is eateng an sald" and used the broccoli square that has entered into legend.

this is his shoop that started "an sald" era and it is probably as famous around sherdog as "groundhog expert" is.

Do an advanced search in Pics and Multimedia for poster Otsuka with keywords "an sald" iirc. It was in a Machida shoop thread, hopefully it hasn't been deleted

The original thread was called "Shoop that Machida smile" and the guy who made the legendary shoop was Osuka. Not sure if he got banned or not. I asked him about a month after it happened wtf was going through his mind when he posted that but he never replied.

I think people are forgetting an important piece to this puzzle. There was an interview with machida where they asked him his training and diet habits. One of his responses with the Brazilian accent was "and sald"
