And then storm back to win against Jiri and finish the fight via GnP.

Glover also has the best snatch single leg game at 205, possibly even in the UFC right now. He also still has his stupid strong old man gorilla strength to go with it.

I don’t think anyone at 205 can handle Glover’s heavy top game, except for Ankalaev who I think could take the belt from Glover so I hope Glover retires before Ankle boy gets to the title shot.

Jiri will need a first round KO or he loses IMO. I for one, will be picking the 2:1 underdog champion to retain #AndStill

Hopefully, you're right.

But it's VERY LIKELY that Jiri simply gets taken down and submitted with his reckless pressure

I strongly doubt he'll be able to get back up if Glover takes him down

I tend to agree with you.
Glover will hug Jiri and not give him space.
Then will proceed to take him down and sub him...

It should be a good test for both fighters, see what they can do.

Who the fuck is Ankle Boy? Is that some secret slang to describe Jon Jones on parole?

Taking big shots from these top LHW guys is never good. Relying on coming back from that is even worse. I picked Jan to beat Glover. And I would have picked him against Jiri as well. But, in this sport you never really know.

Jiri has glaring holes in his stand up defence. But he is also a very high level striker. He would get submitted on the ground against Glover. But if he knocks him out first it becomes moot.

Leaning towards Jiri, but it’s really a coin flip for me.

i honestly wouldn't be surprised if the odds favor glover in this.

Jiri does so much random weird shit that glover can create a scramble and it ends up on the ground

Jiri has too much power to be playing that kind of game, not sure Glover wants to get rocked early. He's gotta get that takedown early without taking serious damage or he's fucked IMO

I'd love for Glover to get a few title successful title defenses.

Glover as dominant champ, or even just champ, speaks to the backwards evolution of the sport. MMA is devolving if anything. Look at the recent HW title fight. Sad.

Glover wins this fight via lack of well-rounded opponent. But then again, that is a lot of top fighters at HW and LHW.

I legit see glover taking jiri down ASAP and getting the submission. Jiris striking is amazing and deadly but glover has evolved well past being a striker and now wins with takedowns which he's gotten very good at exciting. I really don't know how jiris ground game is but I'm going to assume he doesn't do much training there.
