This may be an interesting guy to keep an eye on. A countryman and buddy of Ngannou, Khaled rose to fame by breaking the millennium dumb bell and other grip strength records with no training and beating world youth champ arm wrestler, 'Schoolboy', with only two months of training. For those that don't know the millennium dumbbell, it is like the famous "Inch dumbbell" but much heavier - only about 5 people in the entire world can lift it, including strongman giant Brian Shaw, and Khaled picked it up an unbelievable 5 times with no training.

Khaled just got into MMA a few months ago and is being sponsored by dat Dubai money. It will be hard for him to match his arm wrestling or grip exploits in such a short time, but definitely an interesting talent with a special set of gifts.

Quite cool that he seems to have decided to debut in the IMMAF to be fair.

Yah, he is being brought along carefully and may just not have the experience, base or type of skills to do well in MMA, but the guy is truly an unprecedented type of athlete. The world's strongest man, Eddie hall, a mammoth of a man who has been grip and strength training his whole life, could not even budge the millennium dumb bell and Khaled picked it up like it was nothing with 0 training.

Like Francis, he does not have a break round in martial arts, but is such a genetic freakshow that he is being sponsored to train MMA fulltime now. Apparently converting to being a Muslim was part of the deal for sponsorship (a whole thread worthy discussion in itself), but he pretty much can train with the best trainers, get the best nutrition and will have every opportunity to succeed.

It will be interesting to see how things like his unparalleled grip strength applies to grappling and MMA, if that power translates to KO power, or if his set of physical gifts just aren't applicable to MMA. MMA fans say they want A level athletes in this sport, and this guy is certainly that. Unfortunately, many of these A level athletes are living in poverty in places like Cameroon with no access to playing American football, no time to train and no way to get to areas like the Dubai, France or united states to get noticed.

Where's he training, that offer seems like something team KHK would put together. I think he'll turn pro in BRAVE if he takes it that far by the sounds of it.

In Dubai. I think TK MMA and Fitness. He got noticed by Larry Wheels and became a regular on his channel but was working full time as a mechanic in Dubai, at a time he went by the name Awa Jashell. After he changed his name and got sponsored, he been able to train.

Here is a video of him rolling with an ex college wrestler from the states only after a few months.

Lol, I just saw the full fight - he mauled the guy but got disqualified for KO'ing the guy with a kick to a downed opponent. <Lmaoo> He is so green did not even know you couldn't kick a downed opponent.

Ah, team KHK is in Bahrain. They quite often give prospects a free ride out there too in exchange for repping Bahrain a bit. Figured it might be them.

He got sponsored in grip a bit too and is having an arm wrestling match vs Larry Wheels in March I believe.

You can find alot of his grip stuff and grip sponsor on the following page:

dont know if ngannou and khaled belong to the same tribe in cameroon, but they seem to be on another level when it comes to strength, size and athleticism.

the guy was working as a mechanic in dubai and just randomly came across larry wheels, a powerlifter, who was also training in arm wrestling. there khaled would beat serious arm wrestlers with years of experience like it was nothing.
