Caio Borralho calls for Robert Whittaker fight

This would be great and makes perfect sense, make it happen.

I don't hate it, but I don't love it. Caio's not exactly lethal, but Father Time could decide to take Rob any time now.

Poor Rob, guy just facing killers. A few years ago it would have been a different story, but at this time I’d chose Caio to win.
Ngl he kinda needs to if he still wants a chance at a title again, Caio is the best below him in the rankings right now and he Rob currently has losses to three of the top five guy(all by finish too)
He's kinda have a hard road back

Although, I think Caio beats him here. I rate him pretty highly and has the tools to exploit Rob's weaknesses

Could be a great fight, I would say book it, if Hazmat still keeps ducking Caio.
I don't get this, I'm not a fan of Kham but how is he ducking him? If I won a #1 contender fight which he did, I wouldn't take any other fight than the title fight. Let's say Kham sits out forever like he likes to do then im 100% ok with him getting skipped and having to re earn another title shot.

I don't know who Caio fights (maybe loser of Sean-DDP), but I think Rob should take a step back, just for the sake of regaining some momentum. Someone from like Allen to Joker, who he should beat, but also won't be putting big taxing amount of punishment on him should they win and get the shine off him

Not only that, but haven't they been levels apart competition-wise? Chimaev has been in title fight talks since at least 2022.

While Caio came up with two big wins in 2024. So yeah, right now would be the first time anyone would even think about that match-up.

Honestly, even if I’d love to see it, I don’t think he gets back to a TS again. He should take an easier fight (or two) and not be used as litmus test for title contention anymore.

I admit I don't know much about caio but he doesn't exactly seem lethal and poses a death touch or insane grappling, his biggest wins being Craig who's an MMA anomaly beating ppl he shouldn't and losing 3x in a row when he shouldn't and the jarred who I to this day don't understand being so highly regarded.

I sound like a hater and I'm not trying to but I don't get hype of him vs khamzat at this time.

Where's the ducking narrative coming from? It was clearly understood that the winner of Rob vs Khamzat would fight for the title, DDP even called for it, and Caio is now rightfully trying to get the Whittaker-fight to get him in title contention.

caio is a horrible match for whittaker at this point, bobby needs to fight down the rankings to regain momentum

Apparently only at MW fighters can sit out a wait for their “earned” title?
In every other division they need to fight again if the champs schedule doesn’t fit theirs.

I just wish he would fight and be active, Caio happens to look for an opponent too. It’s not a good look if he sits out and dreams about being champion with that activity.

it's a schizophrenic made up narrative that him and other sherdoggers created to hate on certain types of fighters. Very pathetic stuff, that guy also islam was ducking oliveira rematch, the same guy who islam made look like a prelim fighter

dana confirmed he has the next title shot, caio's best win is washed cannonier, khamzat finished the third best MW in the world whittaker, saying khamzat is ducking caio is just trolling because you probably don't even believe it and just say it to hate on him

Khamzat finished Whittaker just 2 months ago. Then there's Ramadan from end of February, and Strickland fights DDP early next month. Let's say he fights the winner in May or June, it's not an outrageous amount of time to be inactive while waiting for an already earned title shot.

I assume he would had done the quick turnaround for January/February, if he was offered the title fight, which most fans and DDP wanted.

I have a feeling it's not so easy to get him fights on somewhat short notice either, given that his opponent would probably prefer a full camp before facing him, and the UFC also wants to make a big event out of his fights and use him for certain locations.

Of course, I would had also liked to see him fight Izzy or Caio or someone in the meantime, but to claim it's ducking doesn't make sense giving the circumstances.
