Thin ice has formed under the feet of Andre Fialho and Joaquin Buckley in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Neither man can afford another misstep when they collide in a three-round UFC Fight Night 223 welterweight feature on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Fialho finds himself reeling after back-to-back defeats. The Kill Cliff Fight Club representative last competed on Nov. 19, when he was felled by a wheel kick and follow-up punches from Muslim Salikhov in the third round of their UFC Fight Night 215 pairing. Like Fialho, Buckley enters the cage on a two-fight losing streak. He last fought on Dec. 10, when he succumbed to second-round punches from Chris Curtis at UFC 282.

As Fialho and Buckley address any remaining details associated with their upcoming battle at 170 pounds, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

29: Years of age for Fialho, who was born on Cascais, Portugal, on April 7, 1994

Buckleys the better fighter …. But he’s got such a bad chin ….

I got money on Buckley but I’ll
Be sweating the whole time that he doesn’t get chinned again
Buckley is weird, dude has good defence and seems to react to feints extremely well but will get absolutely melted by potshots. Good thing is Fiahlo seems incapable of throwing decent punches and quick haymakers if he can't get his jab going.

Two victims of having an exciting, hard-hitting style.

They rarely get offered lay up fights, and now fight each other. Bonkers.

I hope neither gets cut, and I hope the loser gets one last shot with a step down.

Both can still be valuable members of the UFC roster, in my opinion.
