Some helpful person at BB.com decided to put together a tutorial on popular BJJ moves.

The name of each move and position is in the picture url and on the website. Here is what they have to teach you.

Here's their training schedule:

Monday - Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling
Tuesday - Weight Training, Endurance Training
Wednesday - Boxing/Kickboxing/Thai Boxing
Thursday - Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling
Friday - Weight Training, Cardio
Saturday - Boxing/Kickboxing/Thai Boxing
Sunday - Rest Day

And also this is worth noting:

Bar none the greatest MMA fighter of all time is Matt Hughes. Hughes transformed himself from just being a striker to being a submission artist also. This is what is needed to be successful in this sport. While single specialty fighters such as Royce Gracie are remembered for their dominance and contributions to this sport, they did not evolve their fighting styles to include the full range.

I frequent a lot of bodybuilding / weightlifting forums and also a lot of fighting mma forums and i've learned 2 very important things:

1. Fighters think they know about weight training
and
2. weight lifters think they know about fighting

people on bb.com dont do jiu jitsu, cuz they'd start crying every time they got tapped

Bodybuilders don't do BJJ/grappling for the most part; their ego can't handle it.

I've got a mate who likes to think he's the alpha male but won't prove it because his ego wouldn't be able to handle it when his muscles can't do the fighting for him.

I've seen this on at least 5 occasions yoked mofo rolls in to the gym cant strike then when it comes to basic non competition intensity grappling they go hard as a mutha and still get tapped by 2 stripe white belt slim/skinny dude lol they never come back.

This.

Body builders and power lifters in general have some of the biggest egos of anyone I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. Unlike training a combat sport, where your ego gets constantly checked by someone at some point, you're literally only competing against yourself when you lift. Last week you could put up 135lbs, but this week you can put up 140lbs. Their egos get constant positive reinforcement while almost never any negative.

I've personally tapped, albeit in a safe manner, swole motherfuckers starting out in no gi only for them never to be seen from again.

I never got that either. If I were huge, ripped and tan as fuck, and some little dude beat me with bullshit trick fighting, I'd just learn all those tricks knowing no one could take me then.

Doesn't it feel good though?
I mean, think about it. Most people on the streets walk around just like bodybuilders and powerlifters, with the same ego driven mindsets. What I mean is, 90% of the people on the streets think they're hard and can fight, when most of them can't.

Doesn't it feel good knowing that you have the skill to put them in their place if they get out of hand?

Thank you for the new sig.
