Hi, I took up boxing a few months ago and I've been learning fairly quickly, but there's something that I absolutely hate doing.
There's this girl at my gym (yes a girl, haha, I lose to a girl) who I regularly body spar with at the behest of my trainer. She's a foot or so shorter than me, and I have a ton more reach than her, which would normally grant me an advantage.
Problem is, we're body sparring, I can't hit her in the head, I don't feel right hitting her in the chest because she's a girl. Punching her stomach is very difficult because I have to punch roughly 2.5 feet downward, and the way she positions her arms, all I can really throw with any effectiveness is my jab.
Tl;Dr version:
Does anyone have any tips on body shots against a much shorter person?
