Gonna try to put Jones on his back the whole time and Jon might get tired quicker with the extra weight on him. And Blaydes has pretty good GNP

Not a super easy fight for him imo and it's not like Jon is Joe Louis in terms of power to change the fight with one shot.

I agree, I really think Blaydes would merk JJ. His standup is brutal and so is his wrestling. Blaydes is a bad bad mofo. He has all the tools to be the champ right now

Jones has historically struggled with guys who are near his height and reach, barring the second Gustafsson fight. Blaydes fits that bill, and is naturally the heavier man. Add in Blaydes wrestling, as well as the fact that he's probably a much harder hitter, and I agree that he's an unfavorable matchup for Jones.

I'd be really surprised if this fight happens. The idea of JBJ putting his legacy on the line for Blaydes, a real threat with not much promotion behind him, doesn't add up me. Maybe if Ngannou is out and there's a title on the line. But with no stakes, huge risk with very little reward.

Blaydes is a tough fight for any HW with his wrestling. Plus he's happy to do what it takes to win, he's not a stand and banger for the sake of it, he'll wrestlefuck you for a 30-27 if he can.

This is why I'm happy my boy Tuivasa has avoided him so far, though it's not like Pavlovich will be easy of course.

17-3 Is pretty good for a HW. One of those was a cut stoppage. He got knocked out by the two hardest hitters in the division, which has happened to more than a few people. He deserves to be where he is, and he seems to think he can beat Gane which would be a good one imo.

Jones has never been on his back as far I know, and probably wouldn't do well there. Blaydes could make that happen and he could also knock him out on the feet. He's not the fight Jon is looking for.

I think Blaydes is a huge problem for anyone in the HW division despite losing to Ngannou twice.
Problem I have with Blaydes is he has really good GNP but doesn't always use it.

If he gets Jones down he can't be passive like he has been at times in the past.
Jones is a good wrestler and has pretty good subs.
If you let Jones stay in the fight, all he'll do is gain confidence.

Should be interesting though, so I guess we'll see sir.
