Blanchfield had like 14 attemps and didn't get 1 single takedown

Valentina did get to take Taila Santos down

And Blanchfield is supposed to be the best grappler and that's supposed to be the path to beat Valentina

Don't really remember anyone saying she's the best grappler, or the best at anything, really.

She's only really fought 1 decent grappler and that was Cortez, and she lost. If she was some great grappler she wouldn't have been going to decisions with girls like Alpar and Brogan.

Santos has good BJJ, but she's not really a good wreslter, and Erin couldn't really do anything against her. She did even worse against JJ Aldrich until she hit the standing choke.

She's a grinder. If she doesn't get finished, she can definitely beat Grasso or Val by just wearing them out.

Girls like Val and Santos are better than Erin everywhere, but it doesn't matter once they're tired and she's just still going strong.

I love Valentina but Blanchfield won more convincingly than she did. Without the headbutt, Val would have likely lost that fight.

It's all over the other thread lol

Valentina failed every takedown attempt in that fight. And got taken down and out grappled each time.

Val finely got a takedown in rd 5 on a fatigued santos, who was injured from clash of heads.

bad example dude

He just makes shit up as the High Priest of the Cult of Shevchenko. You know, one of those dipshits who makes other fans of the same fighter look bad by association. When challenged he never backs up shit.

How did Santos get on her back then? I'm asking honestly cause I don't remember if that's the case. Erin worked to half-guard and couldn't secure a back take when Taila turned to stand up but she worked very hard and implemented her game.

It was impressive enough how tenacious Erin was against one of the more physically imposing women in the company, when her takedowns are not great and she's relatively soft herself (though obviously still very strong). She was fighting like Merab who everybody acknowledges is a freak to do what he does.

I think Val probably still has the best technique, but she might be falling out of her physical prime. In her fights with Santos and Grasso, she looked like she was getting outmuscled. At least to me anyways. I'm sure someone will tell me I'm stupid for saying that.

I can definitely see Erin making it tough for either winner of Grasso/Val.

Holy crap, suck a terrible take, go watch the fight again. Val failed every TD attempt except for 1. Santos kept taking Val down.
You're comparing the wrong stats anyway. You should be looking at how good is Santos TDD compared to Vals ttd. I'll answer it for you, they're no comparison. Erin will do what she wants to Val imo.

Santos did great but Blanchfield outlasted her. Blanchfield pulled away in the 3rd with the relentless wrestling pressure thanks to her unwavering stamina. She took a lot of punches to the face but she's obviously durable.

If Grasso has more snap on her punches than Santos, and I suspect she does, she could stop Blanchfield in the stand up or club and sub. Just my fanboy gut feeling.
