Here's a new video of Bill Wallace working out in the boxing gym. I hope I have the energy to do a seminars all over the world and work out like that every day when I'm his age. The man is 73 years old and had a long fight career.

Bill is a natural born athlete. You can see it even his hands which he doesn't use much. And by all accounts a great guy.

I think anyone with an interest in kick fighting should get to one of his seminars while there is still time.

At his seminars he's demoing like a guy half his age. He's not just barking out orders, even at 73 he's throwing hundreds of kicks and punches during his seminars. Amazing stuff to me. Probably my biggest idol in terms of martial arts.

he didn't start fighting until he was 29 either...

Still, I don't know about him much, anyway looks like he had something common with Hug.
Good flexibility reserve and other talents relatively rare even among pretty legit masters that were able to fight in real.

He wrestled up through college and was a judo black belt prior to karate. So was already an athletic guy with a love of competition.

He started karate after a knee injury in judo.

Which was the reason he developed ridiculous speed with his left leg kick; his right was too badly injured. I believe at his peak, his left round kick was clocked at nearly 70 mph.

Ironically, a lot of his opponents would try to focus on Bill's "super-foot" with the result that they never saw his punches until they were too late;)

I know he's said in seminars I've attended that he didn't really develop a love and appreciation for boxing until rather later in his kickboxing career.

I remember an interview with Bill where he was asked how he developed KO power of his lead foot. He replied that he'd make the other guy walk into the kick; fake a round kick and when the guy moves to his left, turn it into a reverse round kick. Or vice-versa.

Yeah his "style" basically used three kicks, all with the lead. Side kick, round kick, hook kick. All chambered kicks so they started the same to be more deceptive as to which would come. Of course the ruleset only allowed kicks above the waist which granted bill the luxury of a side stance.

Yeah, Bill was always great an explaining things in plain English and grin like a clown. He also worked for Elvis Presley for many years and was constantly asked about his relationship with the King:

Never stop doing things.
In Japan they don’t have a word for retirement because though they may stop working professionally they remain always doing something.

my grandma is like 84, and that bitch has no chill. My gf got embarrassed that she couldn’t pull carpet up as well as either of my grandparents lol.

Karate and kickboxing legend, 73 and still kicking - LITERALLY! :D

He would've done well in mma in his prime.
Them Older Karate/Kickboxing legends are true fucking OGs. Kids nowdays no idea how good they were. Billy The Jet would do very well in today's mma as well. Dude is/was a savant, 27 years without losing, or some crazy shit like that. Chuck Norris for all his fame, would as well.

One day Randy Couture and Patrick KilPatrick are going to play brothers in a movie and Superfoot will play their dad.

Nah, easily swept. Can see it here

<DisgustingHHH>

He wrestled and did Judo before he got into Karate. He would do fine. You can' say "easily swept" in a karate sparring match and assume he wouldn't be looking to defend against takedowns if that was an option and it was a real fight.

Do you watch BJJ matches and say "easily head kicked" when someone is crouched to defend takedowns?

I’ll never forget Bill burping his way through UFC 1
