Any other big or wide-footed people in here? It's pretty annoying to see all the cool shoes and footwear on the market these days, but being stuck with very few choices.

I wear a size 16 4E. I've worn that size since I was 14. I can almost never find shoes at a normal store or mall. Various brands fit wildly differently, especially in the width department, so even online shopping is a pain. I pretty much have to go to the various brands factory or outlet stores, and hope they have a few pairs of big shoes. Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack also usually have a size 13+ section to occasionally find some shoes. My favorite brand is currently Brooks. They max out at size 16 with 2 models, and I can even fit in some of their 15 extra wide. Luckily, they also have their only outlet store nearby, since they are a PNW based company. Nike outet can be ok, but it's mostly basketball rejects.

Where do you guys go for shoes? Any other brands I should check out?

My feet actually got wider when I started running barefoot. So normal shoes are less comfortable.

How tall are you?

Only size 10 feet but they are 4E wide. Rather annoying when it comes to buying shoes. I rely upon Amazon.com these days for buying my wide shoes. I've given up going to local shoe stores.

UK size 10 in length, but I'm off the chart for width at that size. My feet are basically the same shape as a duck's.

Shoe buying process usually involves going to the shop and looking at which styles have the biggest toe-box, and then going online and ordering the extra wide version, usually in a 10.5 or 11.

I'm blessed to only live about 20 minutes from the greatest shoe store that's ever existed. Nothing but wall to wall options. There's and entire 2nd building of old stock at huge discounts.

Because of the massive on hand inventory, they cater to the obsecure sizes. It's not uncommon to see sizes over 20. This includes all of their sports shoes and cleats.

I'm happy to look at options or get a pair shipped if anyone here needs an obsecure size they usually have trouble finding. I know it's not the same as trying them on but I love a reason to go look around 😂

Not big but 13eeee. If I don't get wide enough shoes my toe nails sometimes pop off. 13 is ok, most stores stock up to 13.
2 of my friends wear 16 wide and complain all the time about availability. 1 guy wants dirtbike boots and there is only 1 make and style available and they are expensive

Can sometimes find basketball shoes in 16, but rarely in wide sizes. Any other type is super hard to find.

That's rough. 13EEEE is bad enough.

Steel toe boots are bad, the toe caps are too small and my pinky toe hurts. My current sneakers are a little narrow and both my big toe nails are lifting and one pinky toe nail popped off. I go through shoes fast so I'm just dealing with it

My friends with size 16 are always complaining. They order shoes and have to stick to what they know fits and is comfortable. My legs are long and skinny, I feel like I'm wearing clown shoes sometimes. I wanted Chuck Taylors when I was younger and they looked comical on me

I just got a pair at Flowfeet, they have some brands up to 9E and I think even 11E widths. My feet balloon from 4.75" wide upon waking up to 5.25" wide at the end of the day, so they go from 12.5-13 (depending on the brand, my feet are a little over 11.5" long at the beginning of the day, probably 11.6", but they get a little bit longer at the end of the day) 6/7E to well beyond that, so I have to take that into consideration. It's best I get something with stretchier sides to allow for the widening.

This is my favorite shoe fit and comfort-wise in 16 EEEE. Looks not so much. I own these, but they also come in all black or all white. At least they aren't velcro...

Yeah it sucks, I've been size 14 since high school. I used to order all my shoes from the East Bay catalog now I just look online

East bay was clutch back in the day. I'd usually have to order whatever ugly New Balance they had in 16s back then.
