I'm buying the 6ft tall Fairtex Banana Muay Thai Bag and want to get a wall mount for it. It weighs 120 lbs fully filled and want a wall mount that I can use for my condo that will hold the weight and in an ideal world can swivel when I'm not using it. If it doesn't swivel ok....but was wondering if anyone had experience mounting one of these. Can't seem to find anyone posting about it online. I've seen the TKO swivel wall mount but it only holds 100 lbs.....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.

anything a little less pricey? I'm looking in the 100 to 200 range.....those mounts are more than the actual Thai bag costs and a bit much for me.....

question.....I am in a condo unit which is why I'm hanging it on the wall versus the ceiling....to limit noise. I know with the chains and all even a fairtex bag (with nylon straps instead of metal) will make noise. Has anyone had experience in good methods to keep the bag fully functional but limit the noise? Just trying to avoid noise complaints. Thanks

Dat any issues with the mount bending or anything negative I should know about? I've seen and considered this one. Does it come with a way to reinforce the wall?

You might want to check with your condo board to see if you are actually allowed to do this, some places are very strict on what you can do. Also, to cut back on noise you can use a heavybag spring.

Any example of the springs that can be used for a 6ft thai bag 120 pounds? I heard something about nylon covers for the top of the bag to help muffle the metal sound every time the bag is hit.....does anyone know anything about this?

So how many of the springs would I need essentially? Also can you recommend the type of chain to get keep in mind the bag is 120 lbs. Also what kind of link do I get for the top that connects to the bracket? Does this require something specific so the chains don't wear, break or cause structural damage to the wall? Just trying to get all the info to make this quiet (as much as possible) and sturdy for the wall and bag so I'm not re-doing anything later. Thanks guys.

1) go to your local hardware store and get a porch swing spring.

352 Lb. Capacity Heavy Duty Porch Swing Spring-SP 9649 at The Home Depot

I personally think they work better than the ones sold from ringside, title, everlast....

2) for the chain, you can reduce some noise by using strong nylon webbing instead of chain, however, you need to know how to tie knots well (i.e., bowline nots...)

3) before you mount the unit on the wall, mount strong peice of wood to the wall, then mount the unit.

Great suggestions.....do you thing the springs previously mentioned cut down on vibration/noise levels enough to get them....I think I will still do chain over nylon. If the springs are worth it how many do I get? 5, 4 on the bag and one on the main support line?

Sorry I just realized these were meant as an alternative to the title springs right? What makes these better.....I was also asking about what I need that basically goes in between the wall mounted arm and the chains that attach to the bag? Like the piece that allows the bag to move/spin.....

i have broken and seen the title/ringside/everlast spring break. Not by being over-stretched, but by the end piece snapping off.

one at the top.

Just one spring, it goes between the mount and the bag.
