James Earl Jones...it doesn't get any better than that.

Good nominations. I'd probably include Vin Diesel, too, if only for his voicing of The Iron Giant. Come to think of it, Harry Connick Jr. was great in that movie, too, although I don't think you'd consider him an actor first & foremost.

Sam Elliot's always been a favourite, with his cowboy drawl. And it's impossible to think of a more threatening tone than Liam Neeson, when he made his promise to the bad guys who took his daughter.

For the Brits, Bendict Cumberbatch's voice added dangerous authority to his character in Star Trek, and Richard Burton always sounded like a smooth-toned lunatic just waiting to drunkenly lose it.

I like it when Johnny Rotten narrates stuff.

Also, Arnold. Few things in cinema sound better than the Austrian mentalist swearing, or delivering one of his post (or pre) mortum one-liners.

SEE YOU AT THE PAA-DEE, REEECHTER!

I'm gonna go with Connery...
"Junior... Let it go...". And you'd totally drop the cup of eternal life if he told you to like that.

Mel Blanc will never be topped as a voice over guy of all time.

Richard Burton is a great mention...

Brian Blessed too, but Flash Gordon isn't enough to match him uo with these dulcet giants.

may not be the best narrator but ive always enjoyed his voice

Price gets my vote, posthumously of course.

"You grabbed the wrong leg, you stupid cocksucker!"

"The commie bastard gets no food!"

"I'd rather eat cat shit with a knitting needle then send some cop's kid to college"

I DON'T GIVE A RAT'S DICK HOW SORRY YOU ARE!

I wish I had Michael Wincott's voice

Just cause I watched Arrow last night, this thread reminded me of Manu Bennett.

He has the awesome, I'm a badass voice.

Not watching 10 mins of that to see if it's in it but my favorite line of his is from The Thing.

"You believe any of this voodoo bullshit, Blair?"

I'll throw that out every now and then.

Liev scheiber(sp) when narrating HBO documentaries
