Best Performance of The 00's?

I've searched and was surprised this thread hasn't been done. What was your favorite performance of the 00's?



I'm gonna go with Bale in The Fighter, not the most moving obviously, but he knocked it out of the park imo, I really can't imagine anyone else in that role.

If I was going for the most moving Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger were hard to watch in Brokeback.

Holy shit, that would be weird as fuck, I can't imagine him in that role, although who would've seen Heath as the Joker?

I definitely didn't. And DDL is a PHENOMENAL actor. I can't remember the last time I was disappointed in a role of his

I would have to say this is one of the best performances I've ever seen IMO. I do however think DDL could have pulled it off easily though.

daniel day-lewis' preformance in There Will Be Blood was his best and is one of the best of the decade. ryan gossling was great in Drive, Chris Walz has given us two awesome preformances but i think there is no question the great preformance of the decade is Andy Serkis in LOTR

I liked Christoph's performance but it bothers me that he got an award for his performance while Ralph Fiennes who played one of the most chilling villains ever in Schindler's list lost to Tommy Lee Jones.

That's the word for that performance. He's a brilliant actor.

The actor who is the most accomplished so far into the 2000s is Leo by a MILE

The Beach, Gangs of New York, Catch me if you Can, The Aviator, The Departed, Blood Diamond, Body of Lies, Shutter Island, Inception, Django Unchained, and you just know the Great Gatsby and Wolf of Wall Street are going to be good.

I agree with Heath Ledger in the Joker and Bale by the way. That's why I didn't add them. They were phenomenal.
