Casino, the movie. Not saying the best etc. however Frank “Lefty” Rosenthal and Tony Spilotro were originally from Chicago. Tony being a member of The Outfit.

Great book called Accardo: The Genuine Godfather. Great read. Check it out

Probably want to watch documentaries if you really want to learn about the Chicago Outfit. If I can remember any I'll let you know.

As aside, I used to live right in between Tony Accardos (both) Frank Nitti and Sam Giancana's houses for a few years. Theyre all still there. Ton of Outfit history around there.

Accardo had a massive 22 room house with a big wrought iron fence around it in River Forest but moved out if it when the tax man started investigating him. So he moved to modest house a couple streets away and built a vault in it that's still there.

Nitti lived in a modest house in north Riverside before he shot himself in the head in the 40s.

Sam Giancana lived really close to where I lived in Oak Park. He ended up going into police protection in 1975 cause he was going to turn on the family. One night he was cooking dinner and the police watching him mysteriously left only to have a hitman shoot him in the back of the head while he was cooking dinner.

Most of these guys started moving out to the outer ring burbs in the late 40s and 50s to avoid the Chicago PD heat.

I wonder if any of these Chicago gangsters ever made a grilled cheese sandwich on a radiator.
Lol like you see in the movies, all of those fuckers got preferential treatment in prison. Cooking whatever they wanted in kitchen. Got whatever they wanted in there.

You got to wonder if they got to fuck a woman or did they have to compromise?

This is what he is talking about:
