Semi-insightful article discussing Bisping, how he lost use of one eye, and the effects it had on him (psychologically and physically).

https://www.bbc.com/sport/mixed-martial-arts/60838662

"As Michael Bisping walks into the room for this interview, he spills a cup of coffee on the floor.

For most, it would be an innocuous incident. For Bisping, there is a life-changing, career-defining reason behind the spillage - he is blind in one eye.

The remarkable story of how the 43-year-old lost the vision in his right eye yet still went on to become the first British UFC champion in history is told in a new documentary.

Here, Bisping talks to BBC Sport about the emotional turmoil he experienced as a fighter, the steep barriers he overcame to reach the top, and how it felt watching a film about his career."

Discussing his wife:

"She never helped me, she just loved me," he says. "She loved me for who I was and because of her and what we had, I wanted to do better in life.

"I never had any ambition, never wanted to be someone. I didn't care. Who cared if I didn't go to school? Who cared if I got arrested?

"My mum and dad weren't around too much so when Rebecca came along I wanted more out of life and I wanted to be a success."

I disliked Michael for a loooooooooong long time, I remember him from his days on the local circuit long before the UFC. That said anyone that can overcome the injuries he's had gets my support and I really enjoyed watching him fight

Quit hating and focus on the positive

I like Bisping. He is doing good now for him and his family.
The man is a warrior.

War Bisping, thanks for posting this, will watch this later this evening.

I watched this last night. Pretty good documentary but it was kinda weird to me that Vin Diesel was in it and how he was talking about how hard it is to be an alpha in today's world and most people wouldn't understand it.

Vin Diesel knows deeply what it is to have e superhuman strength, superhuman intellectual ability, and to walk with a humble spirit. He has the heart of ten men, and the strength as well. What a guy.
