I ask myself, would Umar or Merab have beaten EPOshaw?Soon cow upset unlikely imo. Barao wasn’t quite washed in the TJ fight, TJ was just on another level. Maybe another level of EPO, but still looking very good in that fight.
I ask myself, would Umar or Merab have beaten EPOshaw?
The answer is no.
Barao was still hella game in those bouts, fighting back even when TJ was doing matrix moves.
True.TJ is underrated bc people here hate him. The best version of him beats Merab easy imo based on their styles. I don’t see Merab having much success with the wrestling there, and TJ had way better striking.
The Cruz fight was close, but again, I just think it’s a bad style match for TJ.
Crazy to think proven cheater TJ derailed the careers of Barao, Holdsworth, and Garbrandt all while having multiple source claims of being a juicebox lol.

I marvel when I think of how injury prone Cruz coming off a multi year lay off came , beat a top contender and beat tippy top prime EPO TJ.I ask myself, would Umar or Merab have beaten EPOshaw?
The answer is no.

Barao’s ultimate downfall began with the beatings at TJ’s hands, then the crazy concussion he received when he was cutting weight for the TJ rematchBarao fall was crazy... did it match the USADA timeline, like Hendricks? If it did I wouldnt even be that mad with the TJ shit.
What irks me is they giving TJ his last title shot against Sterling. Dude's a proven cheater, coming from a controversial decision and fighting hurt on top of that, he only bagged the paycheck
And people here still glaze him calling him "a great" while shitting on "post USADA Barao". Funny how that worksCrazy to think proven cheater TJ derailed the careers of Barao, Holdsworth, and Garbrandt all while having multiple source claims of being a juicebox lol.

True.
TJ was not only an excellent sprawler, but he was also a flow fighter. Finding strikes in chaotic, high-pressure situations was not something he struggled with. That's where he trived. Bad for Merab. Not to mention the EPO-cardio.
But that same flow-mindset hurt him vs Cruz. It prevented him from comitting to a gameplan, a concentrated attack. He had great success kicking Cruz's legs but never made it his focus because he was more interested in finding strikes in the flow of the moment. Compare this with Cejudo, who walked into the Cruz fight 100% focused on killing Cruz's legs whenever he retreated.
Though I thought TJ should have recieved the decision.
Was eposhaw that much better than the guy who fought SandhagenI ask myself, would Umar or Merab have beaten EPOshaw?
