Man did manhoef light up lawler's legs. One of the best comebacks ever in mma. I remember thinking after the first kicks it was gonna be a short fight... well it was for manhoef lol.

Melvin was kicking Lawler's legs above his head. Some of the craziest shit I've ever seen.

I bet Lawler couldn't walk right for weeks, that was brutal. He's a warrior though, and always dangerous!

Shit was brutal, manhoef saying "shit you gon let me do this? Okay I'll chop dem legs"

BOOM. And I love manhoef as a fighter but damn

Yes he sure did. That's the fight where Robbie broke his hip?

Not sure. I remember Lawler getting leg-kicked to death. It's listed as an injury submission, so that could well be the case.

Damn, he's only 32? Seems like he's been fighting forever. 13 years in and he's probably the best he's ever been.

Lawler was getting leg kicked but had an injury during the fight. Team Miletich claimed Ronbie skipped his appointment with a doctor for a preexisting injury prior to the fight and Spratt just made the injury worse.

Robbie has had a problem with dedication in the past. Not to mention he spent far too much of his career at MW when he should have been at 170 the whole time.

I read an article in fight magazine where Robbie hinted at the fact that he exaggerated the leg kicks a little bit as part of his strategy to lure Melvin in so he could catch him. If that's true it worked very well.

Did he exaggerate limping around the cage after the fight too?

Wouldn't surprise me, he did tried the same thing in the Babalu fight.

Exaggerated or not, if Manhoef just kept doing what he was doing the fight would probably have ended in a TKO. Things turned around quickly though.

That was one of the most exciting fights ever. I love those short exciting fights that end within the 1st. I will admit I was cheering for Manhoef, but I was not disappointed at all that Lawler won.

Yes he wasn't saying the kicks didn't do damage I think all he meant was he exaggerated how far his leg was flying after it got kicked
