I haven't seen the teaser, but I have read the description, and I have some theories/comments.
  • I'm thinking that the Steve Rogers scene is just a flashback, and his part in the film may be much smaller than people think. Assuming the movie takes place in present, then that would be in the past, so it's probably just a plot setup device. It also says "Steve Rogers returns" and not Captain America. So I just think this is a red herring.
  • The fact that he and Peggy have a kid is intriguing though. Who's the kid? Does he grow up to to be someone we know? We also know that Thor now has an adopted kid, then there's Franklin Richards as well. Hope this doesn't turn out to be a kid fest.
  • Also why would they spend all the effort to make Sam the new Captain American, then immediately bring back the old Captain America?
  • Frankly I have no idea what to expect from this film given they have done such a poor job with basically everything since End Game. There have been a few decent films and TV series, but overall the multiverse saga has been very underwhelming, and they've done a terrible job of building towards anything.

Anthony Mackie is a pretty good actor IMO. I think he could be a better Captain America, just based on his dramatic abilities being better than Chris Evans IMO. That's one thing I think the MCU would be better off for, more dramatic scenes instead of forced jokes or humor to undercut the more serious moments.

I didn't hate it, but it was a massive step down in quality from Winter Soldier and Civil War. And again, that's not Mackie's fault. The script sucked and there was too much reliance on CGI even for a comic book movie. The naval battle looked like a cut scene from a video game. And don't get me started on America going to war with Japan... :rolleyes:

Harrison Ford was wasted as Ross/Red Hulk.

Mackie's a decent actor and from what I've heard, a pretty cool dude IRL. There's a video where he does a jump with real life USAF PJ's, making him an honorary member of the unit. :cool:

Member when End Game came out and I was in that thread saying how much it sucked with all that lazy writing time travel bullshit do overs that just ruined the whole entire MCU because nothing matters anymore and I guarantee RDJ and Cap would both be back so those powerful scenes were meaningless and all you fucking people were arguing with me and telling me I was just being a hater, yea, you member

That's a good point. There are no stakes anymore. They could address this though and make it so time travel messes up everything so much they can never do it again but even then I doubt a good amount o people will give a flying f.

- I like Steve, I'm glad he is back.

- it looks like he is wearing a wig. It's distracting.

- can Uncle Ben come back too?

- I like Sam. I hope he is still Captain America.

- I struggled with FATWS. The line about "They would never accept a black Captain America" was so cringe, and incorrect. We had a black Captain America. He KOed Max Schmeling in the first round in Yankee stadium in 1938.

- does this mean Steve and Peggy's kid is a superpowered Boomer walking around today? That would be awesome! Could their name literally be Captain Boomer?

Can't wait till they officially release the third teaser (the X-Men one). That one was epic. Cyclops finally getting a Jim Lee comic book accurate costume and going all out with his optic blast in his final stand. Just epic.
 
Is this going to be like the last several where the guys try to defeat evil but the woman have to come attempt to save them only for the men to have to tough it out to defeat evil because the ladies come up short?

Nice twist... we need something like this to shake thingz oop a bit. Thor gets a nice character arc that represents pretty much every kid that grew up & tamed his wild side to find more actual love & warmth.

Not sure how this translates to Avengerz, but if you put any parent against teh wall with their kid's life on teh line, they will rock oop... & so we could get Mega-Thor in full god mode like we've never seen~ :eek:
