I haven't seen the teaser, but I have read the description, and I have some theories/comments.
  • I'm thinking that the Steve Rogers scene is just a flashback, and his part in the film may be much smaller than people think. Assuming the movie takes place in present, then that would be in the past, so it's probably just a plot setup device. It also says "Steve Rogers returns" and not Captain America. So I just think this is a red herring.
  • The fact that he and Peggy have a kid is intriguing though. Who's the kid? Does he grow up to to be someone we know? We also know that Thor now has an adopted kid, then there's Franklin Richards as well. Hope this doesn't turn out to be a kid fest.
  • Also why would they spend all the effort to make Sam the new Captain American, then immediately bring back the old Captain America?
  • Frankly I have no idea what to expect from this film given they have done such a poor job with basically everything since End Game. There have been a few decent films and TV series, but overall the multiverse saga has been very underwhelming, and they've done a terrible job of building towards anything.

With how big the cast is anyone will have a minor part in the film beside maybe RDjr.

Also no way they dont have a big payoff of having all the characters crossing over like Cap Steve with Wolverine/Deadpool/Spidey Toby in this or the next film. Gueststars is the only thing that has made them money since Endgame and they know is what people expect.

I just don’t care anymore. There’s zero stakes if they can just bring back anyone. This is such a pathetic move from Disney. I really hope people can resist the nostalgia because stuff like this actually shits on Endgame and makes every future film pointless

My interest in Thor died off after Love and Thunder and did not like the direction the character was heading at the end of that movie. But I'm hoping they will rectify what they did wrong in Love and Thunder and right the ship so to speak.

Based on the first Doomsday teaser and how Doom appeared with Franklin at the end of First Steps, I'm guessing the Thor teaser next week will feature his adopted daughter Love. There might be a theme of the main characters and their children.

Children are the theme of the times! Stranger Things introducing a younger cast to go with the grown ones. Welcome to Derry focusing on a group of kids.

Granted, I only have two examples, but kid(s) protagonists are all the rage now!

On one hand, it's cool but this totally ruins the ending they gave him in Endgame and relegates Sam Wilson back to sidekick.

I like Sam, but he wasn't bringing in the viewers. FATWS was mediocre and Brave New World crashed and burned. While neither of those were Mackie's fault, the fans didn't love him enough to ignore poor scripts. That's why Marvel have gone back to the OG.

Whether that works or not is another matter.

Loj, the Stranger Things cast are in their early 20's now. Mainly because of the gaps between seasons.

It's been that way since the Multiverse Saga started. If a character dies, you can just bring in another version from a different universe. That's why Kang sucked as a Big Bad. Allowing him to be killed off by Split-Tail Loki and Ant Man, then still trying to present him as a huge threat because of all the Kang Variants, is just lazy writing.

Show, don't tell. Show me Kang absolutely wrecking elite heroes and villains. Don't show him getting his shit pushed in by C-Listers, then tell me there's a more dangerous variant who will be the real threat. By the time you get to the best version of Kang, I'm no longer interested.

Even Marvel have figured this out, which is why they're going to destroy the Multiverse and replace it with a single universe/timeline.
