The infamous BOBU SAPPUUUUUUU, I always wondered why and at which fight he started, he wasn't doing to bad at the begging of his career. He almost killed Big Nog. Maybe some of you guys know some back story aswell

I actually wrote an essay on this sort of thing a few years back, haha.

I think his fight with Jan Nortje was the beginning of it all. Which was his 13th MMA fight. Or perhaps his kickboxing match with Mirko...though I think i've heard people say Bob broke his jaw in that one or something. Looked like a fix anyhow.

Looking at his record it was probably before the Nortje fight but that was the beginning of it in MMA anyways.

The Sapp that fought Nog was a scary, scary dude I remember watching that. He had a chip on his shoulder with something to prove at that point. Makes you wonder if that pile driver finished Nog and he took training more seriously what he could have did. At least some very interesting matchups against HW or OW fights

Bob changed after the Fujita fight

Before the Fujita fight Bob had never had any real problems in MMA and was game to fight

When he met Fujita who was not only a legit heavyweight but also the kind of Heavyweight that Bob Sapp could not muscle around everything changed

First Fujita wrestled him down with ease which had neverhappened in Bob Sapp's career,

Then Fujita started to throw soccer kicks with 260 pounds of roided out muscle behind them. This had also never happened to Bob Sapp. In Fact something like this has almost never happened to anyone. Bob Sapp ate some of the most brutal soccer kicks you will ever see and as a result he now has those little dimples on his head.

After that fight Bob Sapp never won a fight against a legit opponent in Either Kick boxing or MMA

he was never "The Beast" again

The last time Bob Sapp put on a display of toughness it was against Fujita. He probably swore he'd never endure punishment like that again in exchange for relative peanut compensation. It doesn't help that he probably trained part-time for fighting. He relied on his size/strength and when that didn't work, he was toast. He made his big money with acting and commercials. Maybe he watched Ken throwing fights and thought, "hey! I can do that too!"

He just realized that he could not train at all, give a half assed effort, tap out early and still get a big paycheck. He realized there was now no point to go hard and get your ribs and face broken by trained killers. No conspiracy necissary.

he must be Sage's hero

Bob was scary back in the day

Legend has it that Fedor ducked him during Pride

Fujita is way overlooked, he would of given a title contender had he been in the UFC at that stage.

Crocop broke his orbital.

After that he decided soon as he felt he was in danger in a fight he'd quit cos he'd still get paid whether he got beat up or just quit.

Sapp is probably the worst fight fixer of all time in MMA, and he doesn't even try hard to hide it by his awful acting in the worked fights haha. The funny thing is about Sapp is that he was actually doing quite well in MMA until he decided it will be better to do worked fights to earn money than actually bother going through training camps and have to fight.

I'm not 100% sure when it started but I'm pretty certain of the fights that were real and the ones that weren't. (I have only seen a few of his kickboxing fights so I don't want to go into them, but the few I saw like against Ray Sefo looked legit and real)

MMA fans...

Sapp never liked taking punishment, he's not a fighter, he's just a huge strong guy that can/could maul most people.

If the fight matters he tries, but once he gets hurt he quits. When he used to be making huge money it was worth his effort to try, now it's not.

When the fights in Serbia and he's fighting for shit pay, he gives up when he gets in trouble. Just like Shammy, and other old fighters do. Anyone remeber Timmy vs AA 2, when AA quit? How come no one calls that a work?

I swear if Cerrone vs Masvidal happened in Bellator or Rizin people would be calling it a work, but it was in the UFC so no one does. They all ignore the fact that American judges rob fighters all the time (in effect fixing their fights) , that refs save popular fighters from the bell and not unpopular fighters.

But when an old washed-up man that barely trains gives up.... fix fix fix fix, never watching again... smh
