Yeah I think Lawler would want to avenge himself from that fight. 2-3 years really isn't that long of a time and plenty of time for Askren to get his hip replacement and go from there. Maybe he gets that itch again if his surgery goes really well.

It is when you have the mileage Robbie lawler has. It’s not like he’s a grappler. The dude is not going to be fighting for 5+ years. He’s making great money, he’s won a belt, he’s headlined many cards, and he’s starting to lose the “extra something”. The chances of him still being an appealing fight, if he’s fighting at all in 3 years is slim/none
