I'm not questioning that Conor is still a draw right now, but I can't even think of 6 epic relevant superfights he would actually have a good chance in at this point.

Remember, before the Khabib fight, Conor was throwing around names like GSP, Woodley, and Ferguson. It was pie in the sky bullshit. He will take several losses in a row fighting super fight caliber fighters, and what will he really be worth if he drops a few more in a row?

The book is out on how to beat him, survive a round, suck the cardio out of him and then destroy him. The game has passed him by. His glaring holes exposed.

Khabib took his aura. Once that happens to a fighter the other fighters become sharks who smell blood in the water and Conor the prey as he has less belief in himself.

He draws even when he loses, and no matter who he fights.

So the answer to your question is no.

/thread.

If he loses again after this , they may as well forget about any further fights .

Nope. Keep milking the cash cow until it's dry.

That only works to a certain point. No fighter who loses all the time is worth some big several hundred million dollar contract. He will fall off bigtime if he loses his next fight.

Umm WME only pays him when he fights... so no. This is just to prevent him from fighting in other organizations. Conor can lose 3 more in a row and still be UFC's largest draw for the foreseeable future.

I don't think you understand the deal

They made Conor sign a 6 fight deal (in exchange for the NYC presser & promotion of P-12) and locked Conor up so he cannot have leverage to fight elsewhere.

Conor does not have to fight six fights

He did not get a contract anywhere near that size

He's worth a huge contract no matter whether he wins or loses.
He's worth it as long as he's a DRAW. And he is. And will continue to be that

Win or lose Conor draws more than the average UFC guy.
They dont care about Conor, they just care about money and the irish dude will still bring in.

You never know. He could have an epic triology w someone

No he won't.

If he loses his next fight interest will diminish rapidly. A few more and he won't even be a headliner.

Nobody cares about a regular loser. His aura was completely taken by Khabib. Now he's running on fumes.

That is insanity

Hes exposed now. Done on the elite level. The only way he draws now is if his next fight is against Khabib, Nate, or Aldo. The mystique is gone. Theyre about to have him rematch Khabib so they can cash out. 1 last big payday as Khabib beats him into obscurity.

He still has a shit-load of match-ups that fans will tune into.

After Khabib going Air-Jordan on his team members, casuals over the planet will tune into the hematch.

Plus, all kinds of OTHER hematches like Poirier, Diaz, Aldo, and Max.

Conor matches up well with other stand & bang guys, and can sell the SHIT out of those fights.

His crowd is actually loyal. And is stuck to his overall persona.
Mistique is not the reason, and his level of fighting is not the reason.

And they don't care who he fights, and don't even care about knowing his opponents.

Are they regretting signing the man who brings most money to the house?
