Are RevGear gloves any good?

Most on here are gonna hate on Revgear so Im going to give you the honest answer. They are hit or miss. Some models are good while others are pure crap. The model you are looking at is quite good but better can be had for that kind of money. Check out Ring to Cage. They make thai style gloves which would in my opinion be higher quality.

Revgear probably isnt too bad but you could buy better for cheaper. All the gloves Task linked on amazon are pretty good, I especially like those limited edition ones.

Revgear boxing gloves aren't that good, but their MMA gloves are a good buy honestly.

I personally haven't liked any of the RevGear gloves that I've tried, I've found them to be too stiff, dense, and restrictive. The craftsmanship is a little iffy too.

In response to your other posts in another thread, 12 oz. or 16 oz. is good for pad/bagwork depending on whether you want to work on speed/technique or arm/shoulder conditioning, respectively. RDX and Tapout are poor choices, poorly at MSRP. The Venum Challenger 2.0 is a decent beginner's glove, particularly if you can find it on sale (it's a bit of a rip-off at MSRP IMHO).

I would recommend you get Twins while they're on sale at Title.

They're actually not super bag gloves as described on Title's website, but are actually great all-around training gloves that are very sparring partner-friendly once broken in. However, if you decide to use them on bags/pads, they're also very protective and offer good feedback if you're hitting hard enough. They're one of my personal favorites.

Go with the Challenger 2.0's. They are worth every bit of 50 bucks in my opinion. Would have recommended them earlier but I didn't know you were looking at those until I saw you ask in another post. Venum is solid!!! Much better than Revgear at the same price.
These have great padding on the back of the hand and also the palm.

You're very welcome. Definitely grab a pair, they're my workhorse gloves and I will no doubt grab another pair when mine wear out (except I'll pick 'em up in Bangkok again for ~$30USD haha).

True, but if I'm going anyway... :icon_chee
