Nah brother lay n pray is what guys like Torrez Finney does… even Ank with his ineffective takedowns to Wall n Stall. I can’t count how many strikes Chimaev landed and how many times he passed DDP’s laughable attempt of a guard.


Yellows should be handed out to some of you who get all pressed over your guy losing. I had no particular horse in this race but Chimaev impressed everyone who knows what the hell they’re looking at.

Didn’t Khamzat just set like one of the all time strike counts in a title fight?

I can admit I might be biased towards grappling, specially when it’s performed at an elite level. I’m also hard to criticize it when it’s inefficient or to stall… I feel like the pace, diversity, and workrate Khamzat threw at DDP to break his notorious work rate was unexpected.


I do agree that DDP needs new coaches, I criticized them immediately after the fight. I don’t know what the hell they were doing thinking they could throw some archaic one dimensional sprawls at Khamzat to stop his wrestling. His guard was even more atrocious. It’s what many from the new generation tend to do: train mostly striking and the only groundwork they do is TDD and scrambles to get to their feet… ZERO fundamental guard work. Its why guys with fundamentals just run through the new generation once stabilized on the ground.


DDP needs to get over his South Africa Schtick and get with a real team even if only for camp.
