He produced a movie titled "In Full Bloom" a couple of years ago. It has good Rotten Tomatoes reviews, but no audience score.

Not about MMA -- more about a boxing match between former a former US soldier and a Japanese one after WW2.

Anyone seen it? Recommend it?

Nobody is interested enough to watch that shit

just like him returning to MMA

I had to do it.
It's got an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and looks pretty interesting. Just don't want to pay for it if it's garbage -- had some bad experiences watching what RT says are "good" movies and being disappointed. Maybe he makes a cameo in the film -- don't know.

Kinda cool that he dipped his toe in the movie business, but he retired too early -- could have had his name in the P4P GOAT discussion with half a dozen more fights.

The movie was released to film festivals in 2019. Cejudo came on as Executive Producer in 2021.

That means he had nothing to do with the actual production of the movie and invested some money to pay for marketing.

It won some awards at film festivals, so apparently it's pretty good.

yeh you gotta be careful with those sometimes.

when they have good critic scores, no audience scores, good festival feedback, it can be a toss up... it might actually be a good thing to watch, or it might be one of those critic/ festival darlings that in reality aren't that great but they check those artsy boxes... good luck!

Couldnt find it on the usual sources at the time and forgot about it, trailer looks promising but thats usually a thing for every movie.

This.

I know a few people who brag all the time about having helped "produce" such-and-such film, when in reality they were some of the principal money sources, at best, or Go Fund Me / crowdsourced donor, more regularly. None of them had a damn thing to do with how the money was spent. None of them ever stepped foot on a "set" (though I use that term loosely, as these were all "filmed on location" movies, I'm sure). None of them are attached to an actual production company. It's just buy-a-credit.

Thanks for the replies. I'll rent it and watch it tonight and report back. Was hoping to see CCC and maybe some other fighters show up in the movie, but if that were the case they'd probably be in the trailer.

Trailer looked great. Seeing Cejudo in it would have dampened it, imo, so would any other fighter cameo

It looked to have a focus on visuals and landscape and whatnot, and not well known actors. Looked rad, tbh

Why is henry making movies? lmao so random. wish him the best I guess

Thought this was a thread about Ant-Man, disappointed.

Ok, watched it.

Arty and stylish. Not terrible, but it looks like they cut about an hour of film out -- lots of things that happened leading up to the big fight were never connected to the fight or explained. A lot of "martial arts honor" stuff.

If I could do it over, I'd watch Kobra Kai again.
