Been training in MT for about a month. Because of my work schedule, the only viable time for me to hit the weight room is around 5pm.

My MT class is at 7:30, so I get about an hour break.

My dilemma is, I'm so fucking drained by the time i get to class, my hands are even hard to hold up to shadow box. It sucks. And doing the sets of 50 push-ups / ball lunges / Box Jumps after I've had a chest day or leg day in the gym, forget about it. I'm done

I'm slamming a post work-out shake down immediately @ 6'pm (50g's dextrose, 50g's whey protein). I'm also getting another small meal in before i hit MT class, usually about 40 g's complex carbs, and 40g's lean protein.

....Yet i'm still pretty tired. The first hour of the MT class is cardio and strength training based, and the 2nd part is kick boxing.

I'm usually recovered and gtg during the 2nd hour, but the first hour kicks my ass big time.

Any suggestions? (I'm in good cardio shape, I do cardio 4 times a week for 45 mins at the gym, not including the MT cardio)

....lastly I do some modeling as a big part of my income, so weight training has to take priority over MT, I can't cut down the frequency.

Depending on your strength goals, you can cut down the frequency of your lifting days to two or three times a week. I prefer doing full body routines on these days. This would give you some off-days to focus just on MT.

What I do is alternate days I will lift tuesday, thursday and saturday and I go to MT Monday, wednesday and friday

That schedule is going to be pretty hard on the body because you are gonig to MT right after lifting. I don't lift before a class, maybe after if it wasn't too hard that night, but if you lift before your arms will feel like jelly.

The thing is, you want to do the modeling thing which requires gym time, but MT takes away from gym time and it threatens your face which is your livelihood.

Try 2 full bodies on Tues, thurs. Also work push-pull supersets to save time and get your heart pumping. I'm not a trainer, but I've been strength training for 30 years. The MT training will supplement the gym work nicely. Oh yeah, also work multi joint complex moves rather than single joint pretty boy moves. This helps tremendously on the mat-real world strength and coordination as opposed to bulk. You sound pretty knowledgeable, so forgive if I've stated anything obvious. Lastly-nutrition, nutrition, nutrition. Good luck.

Are you in a position to lift after your MT sessions? I felt like I have more success doing weights after being fatigued from class than going to class already fatigued. The guys that frequent the conditioning forum can probably offer explanation about whether or not this really true in terms of my muscle function, but for me it comes down to my priority being the MT session. Until my overall conditioning improves, I'd rather be fresher for the boxing.

Otherwise alternate days, as others suggested. That worked for me when I was frequenting the weight room.

I lift about 3 days a week but itsuaully kettlebell or crossfit...nothing super heavy but more for functional strength

Always lift after cardio or MT never before. Your lifts may seem weaker, but you will adjust. Doing cardio after lifting takes bloodflow or pump away from the muscles that were trained and will not allow the body to deliver enough nitrogen to them even if you had enough protien and sugar afterwards.

I actually cut down on my heavy lifting because I felt the muscle mass was getting in the way. Now I train 2-3 days a week doing push or pull excercises on different days. I also do a lot of core exercises (bench, squat, deadlift, pullups, etc).

"Do you want to be a fucking fighter or what?" ha ha

squat/deads with assistance work one day, pull and upperbody work another, the other days are training

can't have it all brother..i've tried that before.

you will lose some size, it comes with the turf

Can't you do the weightlifting in the morning ?
