Anyone know how to get comp'd tickets for a UFC event in Vegas? Specifically UFC196

I've seen before where MMA websites report tickets sold v tickets comp'd.

One of TJ's recent title fights had the highest comp'd ticket number in history. With ~5,000 tickets sold and ~4,500 tickets comp'd.

My question is, how do you go about getting the comp'd tickets? Does the UFC just have people walking around the casino lobby handing out tickets? I can't imagine Dana can give away 4,500 tickets on his twitter.

I'm going to Vegas for a superbowl party and was just curious if its easy to score these comp'd tickets.

This is for the New York area and with boxing but if a promoter is papering the shit out of an event you can usually find places (I look on Twitter) that run events that promote the event and give out tickets.

My guess is that in Vegas they comp industry, sponsor and casino people so those would be harder for an unconnected person to just find.

Ask dana on twitter

Most comped tickets go to the high rollers that spend big in the casino/hotel I'd imagine

Half the tickets in the MGM grand are still available, I can't imagine they are gonna let the arena be half empty for TV.

They might close off the top bowl, they did this for the TUF Finale when I was there for Ellenberger vs Wonderboy

Also, usually the comp tickets are for high rollers, friends of Zuffa, celebs, etc. For this, they'll probably have tickets being handed out to various mgm properties to give to people. You will probably have a Zuffa employee hand out tickets after a twitter announcement too but who knows.

My friend got free 191 tickets just when he saw someone handing them out in the MGM lobby

if you can "afford" the steep ticket prices, you're odds are better that you will get them comped.
that's really how it works in Vegas at least.

Yeah, when i've went to various ufc vents in vegas, you can see lots of comp tickets are friends and families of fighters. When I went to 194, my whole section was basically mid tier fighters and Conor had some family members sitting behind me

TUF Finale and the Paige vs Rose card, I had all fighters sitting near me and I heard various people by me at the paige card talking about being comped by the cosmopolitan due to their gambling.

Stalk Dana leading up to the event. First time you see him, just say what's up, don't ask for anything. He will remember your face the second time and you can make your move.

Are you a celebrity, friend/family of a fighter, casino owner/mob boss, "radio personality", winner of a wet t-shirt contest, or MMA journalist (that Dana doesn't hate)?

For 196? Well just show up man lmao. Its so freakin weak they may beg you to take a seat.

That's what i was hoping. I was just curious where they hand them out....or if its strictly through Dana's twitter or actual MGM guests.
