I've seen a lot of posts here recently about TRT, just wondering if any of you Sherdoggers have tried this supplement? It's a natural testosterone booster that comes from the roots of a bush in southeast Asia & India.

There hasn't been a lot of scientific research done on Tongkat Ali. But there have been some studies that indicate that it may boost testosterone & increase the production of semen by a small degree. So, it's up to you if you want to spend the money on the supplements for such small gains. Just be aware that one of the side-effects of it may be a weakening of one's immune system. And it's probably not a good time at the moment to take anything that might compromise your immune system.

Great response, thanks.

I haven't read anything about it affecting your immune system so point noted, I'm interested because it's a natural product, basically powdered roots with no additives. Its also way cheaper than alternatives like TRT

Well, best of luck. I believe that what I read said that between 200 - 400mg is what should be taken for best results. I hope it has the intended benefits for you.

I do. Works well.
I’m off TRT, after 4 years (sustanon-blend 200 weekly) and found this as a decent alternative.

Last blood work pre covid in Early March, my Test was a lil over 700 ug and free test (much more important) was around 18-20 ug.

It’s not TRT, but for me I like it better For My needs at this time. Gives a nice boost of noticeable energy after taking comparable to but a bit less or subtle than testosterone sublingual tabs ( if one has taken those before).
Also I don’t need 1400-1800 T levels nor did I like feeling so bulky at 5 8 or having to take an AI weekly to keep water retention & E2 levels at bay.

Might revisit TRT later in life but at 42 & strong, fit and lean (12-14 % bf) I’m good.

I prefer it over sarms and prolly will restart ghrp/ghrh peptides Ipam/Mod GRF as another aspect of anti aging regimen later this year.

It’s nice because mine is farmed/extracted locally.

If its legal or /and over the counter is probably not that good.
If it was most people that train would be on it.

I always see them in labels of those "5 in 1" instant coffee packets.

This answer right here is the right answer.

I used to sell all kinds of “remedies” during my time at GNC. A sucker and their money is soon parted.

I'd be more concerned about wasting my money. All of these herbal supplements and so called testosterone boosters have very questionable research. Studies are few and there are contradictory studies, where sometimes they're shown to work and other times they show no effect. I think regardless of whether they do actually work the benefit will be so miniscule it likely wouldn't be noticed unless it's a placebo effect.

Exactly. I'm not at all convinced of their efficacy but I did read some research that said that can be some minor increases in testosterone & sperm production in some test subjects. So, I thought I'd be honest about it. But as you said that could easily be the result of a placebo effect.

I just didn't want to come across as too biased in favor of TRT because I'm on it. Because it's the only way that's been scientifically proven to dramatically increase one's testosterone. But, these guys are quite a bit younger than me & they're just after a little boost I believe. So, if they're willing to spend the money on those herbal supplements & take a chance on them, who am I to tell them otherwise?

Myself, I don't bother with any supplements other than a good multivitamin. LOL.
