Anyone here train with Jamie Walsh (JJM BB)???

Guys,

Do any of you (or do any of you know) train with Jamie Walsh (Jean Jacques Machado Blackbelt)? It's been rumored that Jamie is the person that Brandon Quick has affiliated under. He tried to affiliate with Robert Drysdale, but thanks to the BJJ police, there was more than enough for Drysdale to read about Brandon's situation, and Drysdale took a pass on Brandon (thank god Drysdale isnt all about the money like other Black Belts).

Brandon has said he'll be wearing a "real" Brown Belt (and in the Gi i might add), so i'm also wondering will there be/was there "negotiations" for his belt as there was with Keith Owen and Ari Bolden.
 
I am just not satisfied with anyone who is a fraud taking steps to become legitimate without any real punishment- and wish there was a BJJ Jail for the BJJ police to throw "BJJ" Douche bags into.

Yea, I agree. There should be some sort of mandate that FORCES these guys to wear a white belt for a prolonged period of time so they wont be allowed to avoid it.

Never heard of him(Walsh), but i find it interesting that Brandon thinks he is just gonna all of a sudden be a brown belt.

I think that he's starting higher than white belt. Dont know if he's starting at brown belt, but I know he isnt starting at white belt.
 
^ Well in all honesty, hes better than white belt, or most blues, but judging from his comp footage ive seen, he doesnt look like the brown belts i roll with, or wasnt at the time.

And i dont want to hear about having an off day, once you get to brown, youre at a certain level.

Like you arent a brown belt, and then the day of the comp you have a bad day and get schooled like a blue belt.
 
Jamie Walsh, is that the blonde dude that trained Eddie for his fights at ADCC? I'm pretty sure it's that blonde dude Eddie fights in "the Twister" DVD.
 
Jaime promoted Brandon tonight to black belt according to FB.
 
Damn, it seemed just like yesterday when he got busted and thrown out of 10th planet. He's a black belt already? Jesus christ, that's the equivalent of a slap on the wrist or less. He went from fraud brown to not being able to prove he was a blue(I think), now he's black (in what 2-3 years?). It's like nothing even happened.
 
I saw a Brandon Quick fight on youtube for a BJJ competition in Texas.
And he was wearing a brown belt and he was affiliate with Nova Uniao/Bruno Bastos but maybe he switched team.

and by the way lost his combat by points, he was very "static" inside the open guard of his opponent

According to a Bruno student on MMA.TV, Bruno told Brandon he’d not be getting a black belt in the timeframe Brandon seemed to desire. So they parted ways. its good that NU is no longer associated with that SF impersonating douche.
 
Yeah he left...and there were no tears shed. And what was posted above is pretty accurate from what I heard (asking for his black belt).

I would like to hear more about how he "asked for his black belt." I can't even conceive how you would bring up that conversation with your instructor.
 
I bought his Fade to black dvd and ill admit I picked up some stuff from it.In the video he talks about doing the "walsh choke" he learned from him So he might have known the guy for some time.

But here is what makes really pissed off besides his lying is he released this Killer Apps - Portable MMA and BJJ Instruction

If anybody has bought or seen Riley Bodycombs leg lock dvd set both of the seminars in the video were filmed at Brandons school and on the picture of Brando is doing the leg knot that Riely didn't invent but is famous for doing so now he is just ripping off other people.
