I smell a possible upset. Strickland is no joke at all. He's gotten better since the Alex fight and I feel like he's got the attitude and psychology to win. He looks to be in great shape and I feel he's thought he'd fight Izzy for a long time

I don't know if it's just me. I wouldn't bet on Sean nor do I favor him, I just feel like he's getting written off

I just think Strickland gets outworked in a sparring pace type of fight. He will have some moments and that is about it. Both men don't really push the pace when it comes to trying to finish the opponent. I don't think Israel is going to expend all his energy early and get finished by Strickland due to fatigue. They are both quite technical but Israel definitely has more physical attributes and weapons in terms of more techniques.

Israel is too smart to waste his energy. My concern is Israel's circling, range and speed. He may negate any grappling from Strickland. Strickland usually wins with his output and cardio but I don't know if he can corner Izzy. Nor am I certain Sean can survive Adasanyas offense

But if nows a time to rise to the occasion its now. This fight shouldn't resemble Sean's previous fights

No. I don’t see how he even closes the distance without getting tagged and he poses no striking threat. He needs to be very careful.

Sean will probably actually go for it though and it’ll make for a better fight instead of just doing nothing like Cannonier or Vetori. His only real path to victory is lay and pray and he could get caught coming in if he’s not careful.

I hâte Izzy but he’s a great counter striker with long reach who is good at using his range. He’s dangerous and I haven’t seen anything from Strickland that makes me think he will win.

I give him a slight chance. He's crafty, has his own style, and is hard to hit (baring the Alex fight). I think he actually has the least strikes absorbed vs landed in the MW division. I think he has good boxing too.
