Anyone else get depressed after Christmas is over?

Fuck no. I just spent the last four days shopping for gifts, getting shit ready, hosting family, and dealing with in-laws and kids.

Of course, life could be worse and I'm not complaining, but if anyone thinks about waking me up early tomorrow, I'm tossing them out of the fucking house.

Not really. Usually everything is crazy around the holidays and post new Year's is normalcy.

Not to mention we only are only given Christmas Day and new Year's Day off at my company because this is our busiest time of the year.

Granted it's the busiest for our operations and client experience teams but they don't selectively give more time off to some departments over others.

Damn tell us how you really feel.

Ya, in a way. It's a great holiday and great break to look forward to. Once it's over it's kind of like a big stretch of nothing until summer. I think I probably get more depressed after New Years though. I still have off work until Monday so it's gonna be a great 4 days, but i hear what you are saying. It's like 2 months of buildup to Christmas and then it's done so quickly.

Fuck no. I am relieved when it's over. Spending money, brainstorming gifts, shopping for gifts, wrapping gifts (nightmare if you have a big family), hosting, dealing with crazy family members, and all that. I look forward to the holiday festivities, but the prep is cumbersome/stressful and it's a relief when it's over.
