Any Romanian fighters in the UFC?

I know that Romania has had a very rough and tough history which contributes to creating a tough individual in need of surviving in their culture.

Which makes me wonder, are there any good Romanian fighters in the UFC?

unfortunately no, there are no romanians fighters in UFC. that was a bullshit of a article just to promote pascu. he signed in december with superkombat.

Too bad Lungu can't come to the UFC - he is fun to watch and would be great in the freakshow old school style fights, but is around 100 pounds over the UFC 265 pound weight limit.

No there is no romanian ufc fighter. In fact Romania actually sucks in sport for some weird reason. They have 1 elite athlete that I am aware of in any sport

How is their culture similar to Germany? They speak a different language, a different religion (Orthodox vs Protestant and Catholic), etc.

Romanians are more like Slavs than anything else. Romanians work for less than other Europeans, often under shitty conditions, and there are a significant number of burglars and other petty criminals coming out of the country, both of which are mostly due to the fact that Romanian wages are absolutely horrible. (A normal labourer is hard pressed to afford both coffee and cigarettes.) Also the similarity to "Roma" doesn't help them at all.

They have similar foods and I work in the food industry and I assumed they share some things in common like food and having horrible leaders...

That sucks to hear, my uncle lived in Romania for a year and he said everything is inexpensive and he said that they are in to Kickboxing and gambling a lot of times and they have a decent gymnastics program. This was in the early 90s when he lived there...

This, among other things. Their ill reputation is down there with Albanians.

God damn, Albanians have horrible reputation and the movie Taken didn't exactly help their reputation either...
