Any Newbreed tournament experiences?

Newbreed is holding a tournament near in Indian Trail, NC (Close to Charlotte). I've already registered, even though I have no idea what to expect. I know they are relatively new but had an event a couple months ago in Orlando.

Has anyone heard anything good/bad about their tournament ?

I went to the Orlando one in April and wasn't impressed. The event was about 3 hrs behind, NoGi was supposed to start at 3 with Gi right after and it didn't start until 6. On top of that they ran out of medals. overall not my greatest tournament experience, but like you mention they are new so maybe they've gotten better.

Thanks for the reply. I read something similar to that as well, but was hoping that might be attributable to this tournament being hosted as some part of an expo? What exactly was the deal with that?

Yeah the tournament was held at a fitness expo. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the delayed start times.

Can you elaborate a bit on the other prices around the tournament? How much was the spectator fee? Also, I saw a youtube comment where someone said something about a fee for anyone there "associated" with a competitor? Any idea what this is?

Don't think so. I think its related to the clothing line.

Spectators paid between $15-20, I'm not sure of the exact price. However since the tournament was apart of the expo I think that was the price of admission whether you were there for the tournament or not. Only other fee i can think of was parking, but again I think that had to do with the venue they chose.
