Sorry I couldn't find a thread to put this in. But are there any good MMA gyms in San Antonio? I'm going to be moving there in August and I really want to finally start my MMA training. I'm 16 and probably won't have use of a car until I'm a senior. I'm going to be a junior tomorrow.

Not too sure about the MMA gyms, but if you're looking to improve your standup there are plenty of legitimate boxing gyms to go around.

Check out Carlson Gracie Texas
They have 3 gyms i think all near 410. Carlos Hernandez is a really good boxing coach and they also have top notch bjj as well.

Pete spratt has top notch striking and Rodrigo Pinheiro is a great bjj practitioner.

This makes me really happy to hear that there are good BJJ schools in SA. I want BJJ to be my base and I want good striking so I think that these schools will be good for me. Which one do you think is better price wise and training wise because I want to get my money's worth and be able to get far with what I learn.

Sorry for taking so long to respond.

It's a mixed bag and depends on what you want. Personally I prefer the Pinheiro school, mainly because I think the Muay Thai from there is better. Pete Spratt trained under Saekson Janjira. Then you have Rodrigo, multiple time world champion and wins NAGA all the time. I believe he also got his black belt from Royler gracie. He also trained for years at Gracie Humait
