Any chance Pettis has a revival at 155?

I heard an interview where he said the only reason he’s at 170 is pure laziness and those guys are too big for him. Said he’s taking his diet and lifestyle seriously. Wonder if we get a few vintage performances from him at 155. I know it’s not likely, but possible?

Edit: fixed “Petrie” to “pettis”

i think he goes to bellator, and has some great matchups there, and probly make more money. win+win

In the UFC? Hell no.

In Bellator he can probably get some wins but he still won’t compete for a title. He’s old and has taken a lot of damage.

No, if he hasn't fixed his issues by now, he's not going to fix them. He can fight a little smarter, sure, but overall he is who he is.

Can he have some fun fights, and beat some lower end guys or other faded legends? Yeah, for sure. I don't think there'd be a point in letting him walk. He's been around this long, the Showtime kick is a part of UFC lore.

His scraps with Nate & Ferg were a lot of fun.

He’s past his physical prime and still has the same gaping holes. There’s also questions regarding his heart. He should be at 155 though. At his best he was a small 155er.

He came beat some ranked guys, but most of them smoke him

Ariel said that he talked to Pettis and apparently Pettis has stopped drinking and smoking, or at least slowed down. I didn't pay much attention. He's still young and if Aldo can do it, I bet Pettis can if he makes some lifestyle changes that would be hindrances.
