I've seen a handful of knockouts erroneously referred to as "walk-offs". Just so we're all clear, this is a walk-off KO:

Now, here is NOT what a walk-off is:

One more in case there's any confusion:

I've seen both of these KO's being called walk-off knockouts. They are not. Can we all agree what a walk-off means?

OP is this a late stoppage or not?

How about this?

A walk off KO is literally when the guy 'walks off'

Do some people think it's when a guy goes out old? That's just a KO lol

I don't care if the guy is 100% out cold or not. A walk-off is no more shots after the one that puts the opponent out/down. No follow up strikes.

I'd say they're late. But that's subjective to the individual. A walk-off is not. If you hit the guy 4-5 times when he's out, that's not a walk-off, objectively.

Yes, I know. I'm asking why people think those other ones are walk off KO's? Because they're out cold? I don't think I've seen anyone on here get it wrong

Ah I see. I can't remember anyone specifically here getting it wrong probably, but for Lewis/Blaydes one of those dumb tweets on the broascast called it a walk-off KO and the second example I gave the commentator Brenden Fitzgerald called a walk-off for Quarantillo even though the ref prevented more than one follow up strike. I don't get either one of those ESPECIALLY Lewis. Two massive shots on an unconscious, stiff fighter should never be called a walk-off by anyone with half a brain.
