He doesn’t look like a skilled international thief who flies to exotic locations stealing from the rich and living his best life. I heard that he’d recently flown in from Saigon. Maybe it was drugs. Maybe he just wanted to extend his vacation by a couple of years.

There's quite some characters these countries attract. I think a foreigner with a mental illness in a country with readily available dirt cheap booze and drugs is a bad combination. The rules are more flexible in these countries so it kind of feels like you can do anything. Some people don't use this newfound sense of freedom responsibly.

Once in Vietnam I was a grocery store and there was a white dude (had an american accent) just sitting on the floor in front of the cashier rambling to himself. I think he shit himself too because he smelled like it when I walked past him. Nobody wanted to touch him.

A couple years ago there was another white American guy in Thailand who went around stabbing people. Dude was smiling like a psycho in pictures of him in hand cuffs. What's interesting was that he was only targeting other white guys.
