Man its rough out there for these guys! A worker died despite being a young healthy person and people are worried. They say how most items are non-essential which frustrates them because it feels like people are not taking this seriously!

On the upside, Jeff Bezos says how heroic his workers are. This is a nice compliment from the boss which may boost spirit since people are now being valued as heroic figures and not just workers.

How nice of Bezos to compliment these people on the frontlines, while he sits in his luxurious, quarantined, stocked mansion.

At 8:06 you see Jeff showing up in person and thanking them but left early because he had to attend a small family get together. Less than 4 people I think but I am not sure but its very nice thing to take time out of his schedule to show up in person to say thanks.

They’re not heroes they’re desperate for a job. Amazon abuses it too. They’ve been firing people who didn’t want to come in during the pandemic. Amazon is one of the worst companies out there for laborers.

I appreciate that they’re doing it though. Amazon should be forced to take better care of its people

They do well with delivery. I appreciate that they care a great deal for their customers. I had things mixed and ended up not receiving the items. They followed up but I was over it in frustration and I told them that its fine and that I don't need the item anymore. Yet they refunded me and gave me a complimentary batch on the next order.

In all honestly, most companies don't give a shit about their customers but these guys follow up on customer satisfaction and have a great system to make sure people get what they want and if not they do refunds and comping future items.

Man we are so far behind at my job cause of Covid 19 having folks staying home and not working and add on the fact our volume is twice as high as normal due to everyone buying online our bosses made a whole new double shift for this weekend so we can get overtime and a chance to win a free tv each day.

Well he is bloated and overweight but he is still a young man and is healthy looking despite weight problem.

Covid 19 hits obese people hard. That dude is not bloated. He is carrying a lot of fat in his face

For real!?

I thought that was bullshit! The reason is, when I try to lose a lot of weight, I cut calories a great deal and I get skinny but I do feel weak and cold as well as vulnerable to cold and flu.

I'm more upset they dont have anyone taking emails. Its fucked up.

The virus isn't going away any time soon. Acting like it's an emergency that requires everything be put on hold is the wrong mindset; it's a marathon not a sprint. You want people making purchases so that businesses making those products stay afloat and keep their employees. Having people buy nothing but food would be an economic catastrophe and lead to a downward spiral of companies closing down and people people being laid off, leading to even less purchasing power among the population which in turn leads to even more businesses closing down and laying off employees.

Of course it's a bit much to expect some dumbass who picks up boxes in a warehouse to understand these concepts.

This worries me because my Cousins work at Amazon warehouse. Bezos doesn't give a shit though, he should at least get them tested.

The fact that you have to keep explaining this to these "corona bros" is mind boggling

Same thing I'm hearing happening in my hub. Twilight starts at 3pm mon-tue and 5:30pm wed-friday. Lots of people call in sick and the people who do show up gets screwed with the high volume because they're not cracking down on attendance due to Covid. Lol at the chance to win a tv each day to motivate people to come in.

Discipline and cooperation worked for South Korea and Taiwan but the US is so hung up of muh freedom that making people wear masks infringes it that it became a "marathon".

Which is why Jeff Bezos is increasing their pay and spearheading an effort the legislate a higher minimum wage, right?

Haha, just kidding. That shit won’t happen.
