There was this guy in the Stand Up forum who asked the same thing. He was also 24 years old.

And yes, it is too late. For both of you.

If you have to ask on an internet forum then yes it is too late.

If you deep down really want it then you will do it and nothing we could ever say could persuade you.

Aside from all those guys who started late and went on to achieve great things. Dick.

No, you're not too old. If you take it seriously, you can do it. You're still a young man and have plenty of time left. Go for it.

Sergio Martinez started boxing at what like 28?
No it's not too late, just do it.

You most certainly can.

With the right amount of training you could definitely work your way up the boxing ladder. That, of course, all depends on your skill and level of athleticism, but it isn't the end of the world just because you're 24.

No he was early 20's and he's an athletic freak. He doesn't really follow boxing rules to be good.

But why not give it a try. A fight on ESPN would be a HUGE accomplishment on it's own.

While I do agree with this I think these question tend to be asked with the purpose of, "building yourself up." I've asked this question myself before and these threads tend to be a cry for help, or posted for encouragement, more than anything. Someone might say "you shouldn't ask if you knew" when the correct answer is "you can't tell a real fighter NO."

24 is not too late.

But remember, there's a lot of guys out there that turn pro but still need to work day jobs to make ends meet. So it's not always that easy to make enough money boxing, to live comfortably.

But if you start building an armature pedigree and get some experience under your belt you always land a gig training as well.

.. at the end of the day my advice to you would be... fuck what anyone says.. be honest with yourself. If you got the passion, the discipline, the heart, and a bit of talent to go along with that.. there's no telling how far you can get.

put it this way this guy was framed for a rape he didn't do after like 30 years dna freed him from jail he was around 53 around this time he fought on the hopkins/dawson card and won so hell no it aint too late good luck man...

You're not too old to become a professional boxer. The real question is, how bad do you want it? Do you have a burning desire to become the best? Do you have the desire to get back up when somebody knocks you down? Can you move an immovable object? Can you overcome an insurmountable object?

You will be fighting against boxers who were biogenetically engineered to knock your head off. From the time they could walk, they lived in a boxing gym. We are talking about boxers who live in impoverished conditions and were baptized in hell. They don't fight as a way to burn fat or to look good. Most of these professional boxers are fighting because it's their only chance at life. You better believe they will keep on punching even if both their eyes are swollen shut, they are dehydrated, and they can barely stand upright. These guys will murder you for a $1.50.

Boxing is not like baseball or basketball. If you have a bad game you don't get a slap on the butt and have some fruitcake say, "dont worry we will get them next time." If you have a bad day in boxing, you could end up in the hospital or worse...dead. Boxing will test you in ways you haven't been tested.

I knew one guy who trained with Alexis Arguello. He thought he was a real tough guy. He went out for a run with Alexis, threw up, dehydrated, and quit the same day. He complained that Alexis ran too much. Alexis just told him to go home. That was the beginning and the end of his boxing career. That being said, if boxing is your dream, go for it! Let nothing stand in your way!

I just noticed that you have posted on several occasions throughout the year the same question, but using different ages and different combat sports you want to compete in. Not that I give a shit, but have you even been training towards your goal? If you practice different sports you can become well rounded but not really great at one, unless youve been doing it for years. get off your ass, go train, and report back when you have a pro fight scheduled.

If you feel like you can really compete, then go for it. You can ask all of us all you want, but at the end of the day, it's your decision man

Depends on how much u want it...B Hop, Tarver, Martinez all started late...if its something as a hobbie then forget it...if ur willing to make the sacrifices necessary then do it...only you can answer this question...if you need your validation from some individuals on an internet forum then you dont want it enough...anything is possible brah...anything.

No, but you're too old to be trolling.
