Am I the only one who doesnt change things unless they break down?

I have an iphone 3 and even when I want to buy an android phone next I really dont see a point in buying one now because my phone works very well, why would I change it

I have a tube TV in my room, same principle, its old but the image works perfectly well, dont see a point in changing it

I have 2 cars but my main car is a mustang 99.... same principle as the previous 2

It seems that everybody around me changes things because they are just "old" and it feels like Im the only one who believes I should only change stuff when they break down or its functioning impedes you from acomplishing a task, otherwise dont see a point in buying something new just for the heck of having the latest model

I think it's mostly about having enough brains and will-power to avoid falling into the instant gratification trap that is consumerism nowadays. Keep what you have, use it until it's broken, because the newer generation shit probably won't last as long anyways.
