Am I the only one not impressed by Gamrot?

I recognize that Gamrot is a a top 10 155er but I think his performance against RDA was very meh.

He got hurt badly in the first rd and held on for dear life until RDA inevitably tired out. No disrespect to RDA who looked liked he was in great shape but he’s turning 40 and has always had challenges making 155

You're not alone. I don't anything special in him. Just another good grappler with mediocre striking. Don't see any special qualities that = champ material, but then again Mike Bisping did become champion. ( Actually like Bisping but come on lol )..

The question should be is anyone at all impressed? Guy gets dropped every fight does no damage barely wins fights based on control time even tho he gets outdamaged. Boring beyons belief!

Well, his fights tend to be exciting because he's always getting dropped. But yeah, I'm not really on board and think he's already pretty damn close to his ceiling.

he will fight a guy who will control him eventually. you all act like its all his fault. its more the fault of his opponent for gassing and not being able to escape than it is his fault. perhaps if you fight him you should improve your cardio and work on clinch and grappling control during your camp. id make a wager RDA spent half his training on his striking. but i do see point you all are making.

As Rickson would say, "He's a tough guy that knows how to use the rules".

No doubt he's an athlete and game, but he has the stopping power of soft artisanal cheese.

He is a real fighter. Much better to watch than that spaz MVP flailing around. I will never rewatch MVP's fight with Holland. I've already rewatched Gamrot's fight twice.

Amen top dog you said it better than I did

Gamrot has never impressed me. Just another crotch sniffer. But at least he does do some gnp, albeit some weakass gnp when he does it.

He's never going to win the title I don't think but his grappling and cardio make him a tough out for anyone.

He's basically a friendly Colby Covington.
