Alex did more damage while he was being controlled than Jan did the entire fight. Was the right decision, glad to see the judges actually stick to criteria. Locking on a body triangle then proceeding to do nothing with it should not give someone a round.

There isn't a person alive outside of Sean Strickland that wouldn't look to take the fight to the ground against Alex, and even he admitted he was going to, he just got blasted.

Not really but I actually am glad it turned out this way. Pereira answered a ton of questions which honestly make me even more excited for his fight with Jiri.

Alex clearly won that fight.

Given the altitude, the new weight division, Alex was uncharacteristically passive at first.

After surviving Round 1 — demonstrating poise and persistence — just like Usman did against Chimaev — Alex then began to pick Błachowicz apart.

Alex decimated Błachowicz in Round 2. Had him about to go.

In Round 3, Błachowicz actually looked good early.
But Alex started picking him apart. Massive jab, massive check-hook, Błachowicz was ready to be KO'd.

An effeminate "takedown" neutralized Alex' pending assault, but Błachowicz didn't do anything with it.

Alex actually did more damage from the bottom, so Round 3 was a clear Alex round as well.

Alex 2-1 Rounds, and won the fight fairly and squarely.

Watching live I scored this for Jan, but I think I was biased by the fact that I was rooting for him. In hindsight I score it 2-1 Pereira. To be fair, the second round was legitimately quite close but I think the Pereira sequence at the end of it made it unambiguous
