No one, and I mean no one has had a easier path to the title than Alex Pereira.
He has a 12-3 record and somehow is already a two weight division champion and won 3 belts.
He came to the UFC and was fast tracked after 3 fights to face Adesanya, he faced no one good aside from Strickland (who is striker) and got his fight against Izzy after the Strickland win.
He won the title against Izzy, failed to defend it against Izzy, goes up to fight Ian and scraps by a split decision win and immediately gets a title shot at a second division.
This was a man that had 5 middleweight fights in the UFC with two of them being title fights, and he immediately gets one split decision win at LHW and gets a title match, gets three defenses against strikers, loses the belt and still gets a immediate rematch.
And now… he wants to go up a third division for another immediate title match?
Has anyone received more favorable treatment in the UFC? Anyone?
How does a guy with a 12-3 record is already gunning for a 3 weight belt?
