UFC keeps the old guard around much longer and makes (non hyped) up and comers beat each other up too much before getting a crack at an old guy in the top 5

If someone would be a favorite against half the top 10, don't make them fight 3 more randos before getting a top 10 fight. Strip the ranking from anyone sitting on their number and refusing to fight down.

I've been saying this for a while now, but as much as everyone's been praising the LW division, it has been poorly managed, notably with a very hermetic approach to matchups among top 5 fighters and very few opportunities for up-and-comers to make their way into the rankings and fights their little core of superstars.

This division could be abysmal in two to three years. I'm hopeful that it won't be, and regardless of what happens, the best divisions are clearly 135 and 145 now.
