AEW to honour Owen Hart's Legacy

The cynical part isn't you recognising that it happens, it's where you immediately assume it's automatically an immoral thing and also assume it's gonna go down the worst path.

AEW have been involved and done shows for small charities before, and not taken them over or done any of that shit.. No reason to think this will be any different.

I think your being naive more than I'm being cynical...time will tell...I'd rather be wrong.

I don't know if I even care about this. I just want to say that Owen Hart died as a result of a cost-cutting measure by his own employer. I feel that this should be said more often.

WWE has tried to do this in the past, but understandably Martha wanted no part of it, so I'm glad she is allowing AEW to do it.

Any WWE fan putting Martha or AEW on blast is a fucking moron and needs to choke on a bag of Foot dicks.

Had a friend (and he's still my friend) question why, if they didn't want to have it done via WWE, they couldn't have done it with TNA since Jarrett and Owen were close. The fact is, whether it was still too fresh, if it never came up, or even if Martha wanted to wait for the opportunity that would hurt WWE as much as possible while cackling and wringing his hands with a Vince McMahon voodoo doll over a bubbling cauldron... that's THEIR FUCKING BUSINESS! Martha, Oje, and Athena lost the most and it's their call.

i hope they drop a mannequin from the ceiling as a sign of remembrance.

Yea, I dont see how anyone could put a negative spin on this but wrestling "fans" always find a way
By all accounts, Owen was a great husband and father who wanted nothing more than to make enough money to set his family up for the rest of their lives, if "exploiting" his memory is the way that he finally achieves that goal then I got a sneaky suspicion that he would be all for it, I lnow I would be

Yep, and that's also exactly why Brandon Lee died on the set of The Crow.

I'm glad this is happening and that Martha is giving her blessing to this.

It made me sick to my stomach seeing brain-dead wrestling fans (and even Bret Hart) getting angry at Martha for not working with the company that killer her husband and left her a widow and her kids without their dad.

This is a much better scenario and I must say it's another huge win for Khan and AEW.

Well said.
