The most fascinating thing for me with this fight is where this fight goes. Will it be a full on standup battle from start to finish? Will one of them go for a takedown and go with their lesser skills in grappling?

Personally, I'd be shocked if one of them turned to grappling. Perreira ....even though he trains with Glover....is still raw in the grappling game. I doubt he goes there. As for Adensya....he has fought guys with wide variety on backgrounds and I've never once seen him resort to a grapple game. He may look at Pereira as an inferior grappler to him and try if the chips are down for him....but I doubt it.

What do you think?

Izzy is smart. He will look to grapple to keep Poatan thinking on the feet.

I can see it being a fairly boring fight with Izzy not committing much a la Romero fight.

Izzy might clinch, I doubt he’s going to actually shoot or something.

Izzy should have a MASSIVE grappling advantage here. He is going to grapplefuck Alex. This is gonna be like Ngannou/Gane. Izzy is gonna embarrass Alex on the ground dry hump when he wins then so a victory dance. Haters are gonna lose their shit

Seems to me you often fantasize about getting humped by Izzy. I think you will lose your mind from jealousy if Izzy indeed wins and hump another man.

Prediction: Izzy will lay n pray on Alex for 3 1/2 rounds securing a boring victory.

Izzy does look like he’s put on a bit of size in recent photos, we may be seeing him try to do what Ngannou did to Gane

Shooting in for 1 or 2 single legs without a lot of dedication wouldn't be the worst idea for Alex to condition Izzy for his signature left hook. But since he managed to condition Strickland only by jabbing to the body, that might not even be necessary. Although Sean and Izzy are obviously not the same level of striker. But since Alex most certainly isn't a great wrestler, it would be probably too risky to shoot, considering how Brunson ended up.
Izzy technically could think that he could get 1 or 2 rounds ahead by clinch stalling in the beginning with the intent to make Alex a little desperate and more active in the later rounds, but I'm not too confident in that.
Most likely scenario is maybe a couple clinches here and there, but other than that strictly a striking match.

I suspect Izzy has superior grappling and could take Pereira down and dominate him. But Izzy might want to win a standup fight to prove a point.

Israel's grappling is much better. You watch both of them train in that aspect of the game. It's not that he is more talented. It's just a time thing. It is obvious one person has been training for a much longer longer time.
