Igor was a true pioneer of MMA who’s likely one of the least known fighters to most MMA casual fans.

A veteran of 71 professional MMA fights with 59 wins and only 10 losses (41 knockouts!!!!)

At Only 5’9 Igor packed some serious power, he fought and knocked out heavy weights but moved like a middle weight. He was one of the most well rounded fighters of his era, a time when most fighters were still considered strikers or grapplers Igor was fairly impressive at both.

He has the record for the second longest win streak at MMA with 37 consecutive wins which is truly impressive in his weight class.

Igor was a true BMF and was a prison fighter when he was in prison him self, he was known to take on any challenge regarding of weight or rules.

Much respect to this legend and pioneer of the sport who needs a lot more recognition.

too bad we never saw Igor - Wandy....

They would ring town bell to let people know Igor has been drinking lmfao. Take your asses inside there is a wild man on the loose. War Igor

The rumour that his town rang a bell as a warning whenever he was mad is my favourite MMA rumour ever.

Legend. War Igor.

And now he owns a bar imagine that!
Probably the most well behaved bar in the Ukraine!

Igor v CroCop was one hell of a fight. Plus he bout beheaded most of his opponents if it ended in a KO. Definitely a LEGEND

PRIDE invented that.

Igor was actually super chill, they just mis-translated his words to make him into some kind of mega badass.

There is only one Ice Cold and it is a 5'8 HW that separated men from their senses completely.

Hahaha
Pride reporter - Igor what do you when you wake up ?
Igor- usually I go for a 5km jog have 5 hard boiled eggs and go to the gym
Pride translator- “ back in the prison days I killed 4 men while sleep walking wtf you asking about ? my morning routine ? “

His fight with Enson at Pride 10 was an absolute war, one of the best fights in the history of mma.

Unfortunately he also suffered the most brutal KO in mma history. The slow-mo replay of his head changing shape when prime CroCop caught him flush with the LHK was gruesome.

He isn't some 6'4 coward who takes roid enemas and fights at LHW, that is for sure.
